|Ready to reserve your Florida Beach Wedding?
|The following are frequently asked questions regarding your beach wedding ceremony. We
strongly recommend reading the following information before reserving your beach wedding (all
information supplied to you on this page, will be on your contract):
MARRIAGE LICENSE INFORMATION:
Do I need a Florida Marriage License to get married in Florida? Yes! You must obtain your own Florida marriage
license to get married in Florida. You can obtain your Florida marriage license in any county in Florida. It does not have to be from the county
you are getting married in.
Residents of Florida: There is a three-day waiting period after you apply for your marriage license
Non-Florida Residents: There is no waiting period
At this time, a Florida marriage license is $93.50, and is not included in any of our packages.
You must obtain AND bring your marriage license to your wedding ceremony.
IF YOU BOTH RESIDE OUT OF STATE, we can help you obtain your marriage license by mail. See our Marriage License Page for more
BEACH WEDDING PACKAGE INFORMATION:
Can the beach wedding packages be customized or changed? You will be able to choose your decorations, flowers,
ceremony and vows from our selections pages. However, we have put together packages for a reason, to give our couples the best value for
their money. Therefore, the packages are sold just as they are: All-inclusive beach wedding packages. If there are some items you may not
want (for example, the sand ceremony), we can eliminate them from your ceremony package, however no substitutions or credit will be issued.
For the packages that have a guest limit number: If you purchase one of our smaller wedding packages that have a guest
limit number, and you will have more guests than expected, you will need to upgrade to the next package that can accommodate the additional
guests. The Simply Daytona and the Nautical Knot Packages are set-up specifically for smaller weddings. They are not meant for larger
weddings, so please don't choose one of these packages if you are having a large wedding-- additional charges will apply.
Do you set-up and take down the ceremony decorations? We set-up and take down our own ceremony decorations. We
only use our own equipment, chairs, and decorations. This is for the safety and enjoyment for you and your guests. We have taken the
up most care, creativity and work to produce our own decorations that can be secured properly at the beach. We are not responsible for passing
out items you may want at your ceremony, such as fans or bubbles. You must have someone from your group responsible for this.
Are their additional charges not shown, such as a "service charge"?: All of our package pricing, and any additional
charges, are CLEARLY marked on each package. We DO NOT have set-up fees, service charges, delivery fees, or any other fees that are not
explained on our packages page. We are giving you the full price, with no surprise fees added!
WEDDING CEREMONY LOCATION INFORMATION (including any permits, and rain)
Do I need a permit to get married on the beach? In some areas, a permit is needed. You will be responsible for any permit
or parking fees. In Volusia County, any wedding over 50 guests will require a beach wedding permit.
Do I have to find my own beach wedding location? We have locations available for your beach wedding. If you want to
have the ceremony at a location of your choice: It must have reasonable beach access for us, and your guests. For private properties, you
may have to obtain the manager/owner's permission, and pre-approval from us. Additional costs are added for private beach residences and
private condominium complexes -If you are using a private beach residence or condo, YOU MUST supply us with adequate parking and
accessibility. If gates are locked, we must receive a key, or someone from your party must be available throughout our set-up process so we
can easily enter locked gated areas. Reasonable beach access means you are directly on the beach, we do not have to walk through homes, go
up and down stairs, or cross any streets.
Who is responsible for obtaining permission in front of private residences/condos or hotels? You are
responsible for obtaining permission from private residences, condos, or hotels where you may want to have your ceremony.
Are there private beach wedding locations? All beaches are public beaches. We make the most effort in choosing our
sites that are less congested. There will probably be people visiting our beautiful beaches. However, they are usually most respectful of your
What happens if it rains? Unfortunately, we cannot control the weather. We will make every effort to have the ceremony on the beach.
If we can wait out a storm for a short period of time, we will. If it is a light shower, the ceremony can go on, but some, or all of our equipment
and decorations may not be used. If we can't wait out the weather, we will try and move the wedding to your nearby reception venue
(decorations will not be able to be used at the alternate ceremony site). We are not responsible for finding you an alternative site. Some
parts, or all of our set-ups might not be able to be installed during inclement weather. If there is a Hurricane Warning, we would be happy to
reschedule the ceremony for another day (based on availability). There are no credits or refunds issued due to
Who is responsible for finding an alternate indoor site? It is your responsibility to have a back-up plan. We will set-up our
decorations only once.
"ALL ABOUT THE CEREMONY" INFORMATION:
Who performs the ceremony? A Florida Notary performs the legal marriage ceremony, vow renewal, and commitment ceremony.
Same sex marriages are now legal, and welcome!
Can you provide a minister perform the ceremony? Yes, there is an additional charge for their services.
How long does the actual wedding ceremony take? The average beach wedding ceremony takes approximately 15 minutes.
Can we bring our own officiant or minister? Yes, you are more than welcome to bring your own minister or officiant.
However, no credit or substitution will be issued for bringing your own officiant or minister. Just remember, the officiant must be licensed in
the State of Florida to perform ceremonies(or an ordained clergy member anywhere in the United States). Ceremony time is limited to twenty
Do you perform vow renewals and commitment ceremonies? Yes! No licenses are needed. For a vow renewal, you
already have your official marriage certificate. A commitment ceremony is exactly what it sounds like: making a commitment in front of family
and friends. However, it is not legally binding.
Beach Wedding Attire (including hair and veil): Any type of wedding attire is great for a beach wedding. A bride's dress can
never be too formal, even if the groom is opting to wear khakis and a dress shirt. Brides, keep in mind for your hair and veil: Even on the best
of beach days, there is usually a breeze, so remember this when choosing your wedding hair style. What looks good indoors (for example,
long, flowing hair style) will not hold up in the outdoor breeze! Our STRONG recommendation: an up-do with either flowers, crystal pins, crystal
headbands, etc... for your hair. We do not recommend any type of veil: A veil can easily be twisted in the wind at your beach wedding.
CEREMONY TIME: We will give you a scheduled wedding time. When available, we will have you select your wedding time. Your
ceremony time is the start time NOT the time to start arriving (for example, 5:00 p.m. Ceremony time? Your guests should start arriving at
4:30 and you should arrive by 4:45 p.m. -- you should be walking down the aisle by 5:00 p.m.). Keep in mind, later in the day is better --
less visitors at the beach, etc... If you are late for your own wedding, late fees will be assessed, and, will have to be paid before the ceremony
starts. If you are more than 45 minutes late, your wedding will be cancelled, no rescheduling or refunds will be due. Promptness is requested
due to the changing tide conditions, other weddings that may be scheduled, courtesy to your waiting guests, etc...
Do you assist with coordination for the ceremony?: Yes, when you purchase a package from us, we will handle all
coordination on the beach. You will receive a detailed itinerary of the ceremony timeline. If you have an outside wedding coordinator, he/she
will be welcome to watch the ceremony -- during the beach wedding, we are the only ones in charge, because this is our business and this is what
you hired us to do.
Can I have petals or bird seed to throw at our wedding? You can only use real petals. In some areas, petals are not
allowed. bird seed is not allowed as it attracts too many birds, and is not good for the wildlife. Bubbles or tiny seashells may be used.
What kind of music will I have at my ceremony? For the Packages that include music: We will play a song as the bridal
party is walking (if you don't have a bridal party, this music will be played right before the ceremony is set to start), the bridal march for the
bride, and a song that will be played once you are pronounced man and wife. If your package includes your choice of music, you will be able to
choose your songs from our play list. If your package includes just the traditional bridal music, you will still have the choice of traditional or
island-style (steel drum). You will have the option to have a custom three-song ceremony playlist (add $25.00 to your package price).
CEREMONY PHOTOGRAPHY INFORMATION:
Ceremony photography information: Basic Ceremony Photography is included in all of our packages: We use our own staff
photographers (or you can hire Forever In Love Photography). We take photographs during and a few poses immediately after the ceremony
of the bride and groom. You will have the option of purchasing additional photography time. This will include many more photos, use of our
props, and a free photo CD of all the viable ceremony pictures. We are not responsible for any equipment malfunctions. Our main goal is to
take the best photos possible, but some things, including weather, natural lighting, timing, equipment malfunctions, disruptive guests, other
people on beach, may have an effect on your photography.
When does the photography start and how long does it take?: We start the photography when the ceremony is about to
begin. We take photos during the ceremony and a few poses of the bride and groom after the ceremony. If you have purchased the
additional photography time, the after ceremony photos will take approximately 30 - 45 minutes, depending on the number of guests, guest
and family cooperation, etc... If you are late for your ceremony, you will forfeit some of your paid additional photography time and no credit
will be issued.
Can our photographers also take our reception photos? No. Our photographers are our own staff photographers. They
are available for our beach wedding ceremonies only. You can contact Forever In Love Photography who would be more than happy to offer her
services for your wedding day, or take the place of our ceremony photographer (based on availability). Additional charges will apply--contact her
directly for availability, and pricing (If you choose Forever In Love Photos for your ceremony photography, they will take the place of our staff
photographer, and you will receive $100.00 off your package price - not applicable for the Simply Package).
Her contact information: foreverinlovephotos.com
How will we receive our photos?: You will receive your ceremony photos on a free photo CD. You will be able to take your photo
CD anywhere to make prints, in the sizes that you want. Your photo CD can take up to 60 days to receive and it will be mailed to you. You can
also add a video slideshow of your ceremony photos (set to your choice of music).
Can we have our own photographer?: Yes, you can have your own ceremony photographer (ours will not be present). If you
will have your own independently hired photographer, ours will not be present (you will receive a $100.00 discount off your package price when
you have your own photographer -- discount not available on the Simply Daytona Package). Your photographer will take your ceremony photos,
then after the ceremony, they will take you, and your guests down by the water to continue their after ceremony photography. Our work will now
be done, and we will start to take down our ceremony decor.

Your deposit will be applied to the package price, so it will be deducted from the total price of the package. For every credit card transaction,

If you cancel within 30 days of the wedding ceremony, all monies paid will be forfeited and no rescheduling will be allowed.
When is my final payment due?: Final payment is due 30 days before the ceremony date. If you are scheduling your wedding 30
days or less from the ceremony date, payment in full is expected at time of booking. IF YOUR PAYMENT IS LATE, you will need to pay your
remaining balance, in cash, within seven days of the ceremony date.
Which Holidays will add to the cost of the package?: Additional charges will be added to the package cost for the following
Holidays: Easter Weekend, Memorial Weekend, The week of 4th of July, Labor Day Weekend, Thanksgiving Weekend, New Year's Eve, New
Year's Day. We do not perform weddings on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, or July 4, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day. No package discounts
will not be available for the above dates, as well as Valentine's Day.
Are there extra charges for having a bridal party or wedding guests? We do not charge to have a bridal party or
guests. However, in some areas, if you have over 50 guests, a permit may have to be obtained, and additional charges will apply (based on
the number of guests). Note: Some of our smaller packages do have guest and bridal party limitations. These packages were not designed
for large weddings and extra charges will apply if you knowingly go over the guest limit allowed for these smaller packages.
